Is Gambling a Sin?? :( Dont Bet on It!

Hi Readers,
What is wrong with Gambling? Gambling is a difficult issue because if it's done in moderation,which is often and only on occasion,it is a waste of money,but it is not neccessary evil.People waste money on all sort of activiites. Gambling is no more or less of a waste of money than seeing a movie (in many cases), eating an unnecessarily expensive meal, or purchasing a worthless item......
At the same time, the fact that money is wasted on other things does not justify gambling. Money should not be wasted. Excess money should be saved for future needs or given to the Lord's work, not gambled away...The Bible does warn us however to stay away from the Love of Money (1 Tim 6v10)"For the Love of money is a root of all kinds of evil,Some people,eager for money have wondered from the faith & pierced themselves with many griefs." ......

So What is to be said in thier favour?..For me personally I think that Gambling is a Lifestyle,you are not forced into doing this type of 'play'...people who entertain themselves in this kind of leisure most definetly for them it is seen as a way to make quick money as it were,Gambling beyond any doubt is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches...many people find joy and happiness in this 'play' but when does it stop? and turns to addiction?.....
Some argue that winning the Jackpot increases our resources so we can do more good.Have you checked the odds of Gambling?? Better yet,have you noticed the wealth with which casinos are built?....the money that constructs such palaces doesnt come from businesses that pay out more than they take in..the odds are much greater that your wager will be lost...
